Print Disability Services
Accessible Texts
Designated library staff can help researchers with qualifying print disabilities obtain research materials in accessible formats. The library is a member of multiple organizations providing such texts: HathiTrust’s Accessible Text Request Service, Internet Archive’s Qualifying Authorities program, and the AccessText Network.
To apply for these services, begin by downloading the Proof of Print Disability Form (PDF document). Fill out the first part of the form with your contact information. The second part of the form must be filled out and signed by a qualified professional who can attest to the nature of the disability. Please see the instructions on the first page of the document. When the form is fully completed and signed, scan it as a PDF document, and email it as an attachment to the email address indicated in the instructions. Upon receiving the form, a staff member will contact you by email with further details.
